Send an enquiry with your date, venue and the package you are leaning towards. I will come back with a quote covering exactly what you need. To lock the date in, you accept the quote, sign the contract and pay a booking fee. The balance is due a month before the wedding.

As early as you can. I only take one wedding a day and there is only one of me, so popular dates go one to two years ahead. If your date is close, ask anyway. It costs nothing to check.

Yes. However, if your venue is more than an hour from Perth there is a travel fee, which I fold into your quote so the number you see is the number you pay. Tell me the venue when you enquire and it will be included.

No, the hours in each package are performance time. I arrive well before I am due to start, set up quietly and get everything ready, and I pack down after the last song. Your runsheet sets the arrival time so it never eats into the music.

Not for your ceremony or cocktail hour. That set-up runs on batteries and sounds every bit as good as a mains-powered one, so you can get married on a clifftop, in a paddock or on a beach. The reception DJ set-up does need one standard powerpoint, and I bring my own leads and powerboard.

Everything. You supply nothing. That means a battery-powered PA for the ceremony, and for the reception a full powered PA with column speakers and subs, a DJ booth and controller, dance floor lighting, and a wireless microphone for speeches and MCing.

Yes. On the larger packages I bring more than one system. The battery-powered ceremony rig is small and quick to move, so it usually follows you from the ceremony across to cocktail hour. The reception DJ set-up is a bigger job: it takes about an hour and a half to build and stays put once it is up, so I normally have it ready before your ceremony even starts.

Less than most people expect. The ceremony set-up needs about one metre square, small and unobtrusive. The reception set-up needs around two metres square, ideally as close to the dance floor as possible. One request: try not to seat a table directly in front of the speakers, particularly older guests with hearing aids.

If I am with you over your meal service and playing for four hours or more, yes please, a vendor meal. I take about thirty minutes while your guests are eating, and a Spotify playlist covers the room so the music never actually stops.

Not as standard. Celebrants almost always bring their own microphone and small PA. My ceremony set-up only has the channels I need for live music. If your celebrant does not have their own, I can bring a separate PA and wireless microphone. That is an add-on, currently $330 including GST.

Announcements, introductions, and the quiet timing calls that keep a reception moving. Knowing when to bring speeches forward because dinner ran late, or hold the cake cut for five minutes. If you would rather a friend did it, I will sit beside them and make sure they never feel stranded.

I have never once cancelled a wedding, and it would take something going badly wrong for that to change. If the worst did happen, you would not be left to sort it out. Between my own team at Wedding Music Perth and long-standing relationships with most of the good acts in this city, we would find you someone suitable.

Yes, over a video or phone call, usually once your documents are finished, around one to two weeks out. Most couples find email covers everything and never need one, but the offer stands if you would rather talk it through.

A booking fee secures your date, and the balance is due a month before the wedding. If you would rather chip away at it in instalments, or pay it off early, that is completely fine, just let us know so we can send you a receipt each time.

Yes. One special request is included in every package, and it is genuinely my favourite part of the job. Tell me the song and I will learn it properly and perform it live. Extra requests can be added if there is more than one that matters to you.

Your Music Document is due three months before the wedding. That gives me time to learn your request properly rather than hurriedly, and to plan the rest of the day around the songs you have chosen.

Absolutely, and you should. The Music Document has space for must-play songs, play-if-there-is-time songs, and just as usefully, a do-not-play list. You can also tell me the artists, genres and decades you love. I take all of that and then read the room on the night.

If you want me to, yes. Some couples love it and some would rather the floor stayed exactly as planned. It is your call, and we settle it before the day so I know where you stand when someone asks.
